Street animals

Letter June 20, 2019
Collectively, we can make our country a better place for our street animals

LAHORE: With global warming, our summers are getting hotter every year. The heat is getting unbearable and one can barely step out in the sun without turning into a puddle. Given the constantly high temperatures, and the long waits for rain, we must ensure the animals in our area are also taken care of. It is very easy to leave out clay dishes full of water and birdfeed for the birds, and many people do so. However, we should also leave out dishes of water and scraps of food for the neighbourhood cats and dogs, and build small shelters for them to seek refuge in against the harsh sun. Collectively, we can make our country a better place for our street animals.
