The festival of Eid

Letter June 05, 2019
The true essence of this festival is to share our blessings with the less fortunate

TURBAT: Eid ul Fitr is one of the two important festivals that Muslims around the world celebrate. It is meant to bring joy and happiness, following a month of fasting. The festive days bring with themselves blessings and an atmosphere to forget all the wrong we might have done to one another.

Unfortunately, it is sad to see there are many people in our country who cannot afford a new set of clothes or shoes to celebrate Eid, like those who are fortunate. As Muslims, it is our duty to buy new clothes and provide food items for the underprivileged, so that they may also be able to celebrate these blessed days with joy. The true essence of this festival is to share our blessings with the less fortunate and to help in making them happy.
