Research suggests that the unique quality of an entrepreneur makes a business stand out
KARACHI: These days there is a market for everything and anything. We can easily turn our favourite hobby into a business which will eventually become a profit-earning enterprise. There are plenty of entrepreneurs in Pakistan who are exploring the market by launching businesses based on their hobbies.
While it is easy to launch a small business in any city, the location does have an impact on the type of business one launches and how viable it is. First and foremost, it is important to carry out a market survey and make a budget according to one’s needs. According to studies, approximately 82 per cent of business start-up funds come from the entrepreneur themselves, or their family and friends. That usually means we need to keep things on a pretty tight budget and we can start from our homes or from inexpensive and smaller locations.
Research also suggests that the unique quality of an entrepreneur makes a business stand out. Hence, it is important to play our natural strengths while simultaneously developing new skills.
Lastly, with the online world opening up an ocean of knowledge for us, we can easily access resources to learn business management as we grow in our enterprise.
