The government should target the mosquitoes’ breeding grounds to prevent a further spread of dengue
TURBAT: Dengue cases have been on the rise in Kech district since the beginning of 2019. As many as 285 cases of dengue had been reported in Turbat alone till mid-April; while the total number had risen to 528 across the district. A significant number of deaths has also been caused by the virus, yet no proper preventive measures have been taken against the disease. The government should look into the causes of the outbreak, and target the mosquitoes’ breeding grounds to prevent a further spread of dengue. Mosquito netting and fumigation services should also be provided to every house, so that people can be protected from the disease.
