The attack on Data Darbar is nerve-wrecking as it reminds us of the carnage that took place at Sehwan in 2017
LAHORE: It seems like the wave of violence that started from mid-March with the bomb blasts in Panjgur, is not subsiding. With every blast or attack, our government issues condemnations and makes promises to take more stringent measures to protect the civilians. Unfortunately, these promises are left unfulfilled as another terror attack rocks the country.
The attack on Data Darbar is particularly nerve-wrecking as it reminds us of the carnage that took place at Sehwan in 2017. While the motive for this blast is still to be confirmed by the perpetrators, the police claim it was to target their Elite Forces. The majority of the martyrs belonged to the Elite Force, hence confirming these claims. It is unfortunate though, that these barbarians chose to target not just civilians but also their protectors. They want to leave us defenceless against their horrible offensives, while depriving numerous families of their guardians. It is extremely heart-breaking to imagine the trauma these families must be going through. The entire country stands by them. May Allah grant them patience and forbearance to bear this irreparable loss!
