KARACHI: The most common cause of road accidents in Karachi is reckless driving, especially by drivers of heavy vehicles. I was passing through University Road on Saturday night and saw a bus that had crashed into a pole. It had also hit a motorcyclist who was stuck under the bus.
The people, who had gathered around, started beating the bus driver, instead of helping the man who was stuck and writhing in pain. I request people to exercise self-control during such critical situations. They should focus on helping the injured and provide him with first aid, rather than taking their anger out on the driver, even if he is at fault.
