New faces in PTI govt

Letter May 01, 2019
The country is confused by the change in Imran Khan’s team in such a short period of time

MARDAN: The government led by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will soon complete its first year — on August 17 this year to be exact — and the citizens are yet to see any substantial positive change in the country. Even though Prime Minister Imran Khan is trying his best to resolve the many problems being faced by the people of Pakistan, the Kaptan is still confused regarding his selection of the cabinet. During his election campaign, he was confident that Asad Umar is the person best suited for fixing the country’s economy, but he was asked to step down as federal finance minister within eight months of being in charge. In a major reshuffle of the cabinet, the Kaptan brought in many people who have held prominent positions in previous governments. The country is confused by the change in Imran Khan’s team in such a short period of time, but is still waiting to see the change it needs and that was promised.
