In Muslim countries, traders reduce prices before important festivals
TURBAT: Ramazan is a special holy month for Muslims, but unfortunately, people have to think twice before buying necessities for the month. The high inflation prior to Ramazan has made many basic food items like tomatoes, onions and many others out of reach for the common man. Now people with limited means are finding it difficult to make ends meet. Prices of all basic commodities have skyrocketed.
In on-Muslim countries, traders reduce prices before important festivals. But in Muslim-majority Pakistan, traders go for profiteering during Ramazan and before Eid. I demand of the government to take strict action against profiteers in Ramazan and provide relief to the people.
