It is the parents’ responsibility to supervise the use of gadgets

KARACHI: Gadgets have become an indispensable part of our lives now, especially for children. The excessive use of gadgets like mobile phones, tablets, and gaming consoles can slow down the cognitive development. According to researchers, children who spend a lot of time with gadgets tend to develop temporary myopia (temporary nearsightedness), have obstructed balanced growth of the brain and also have a higher risk of obesity because they do not take part in physical activities. It is the parents’ responsibility to supervise the use of gadgets and arrange and encourage physical activities such as sports, in order to improve their mental and physical strength and wellbeing.
