Survey across the country’s libraries can highlight the areas where improvements are needed
TURBAT: Libraries play an important role in developing learning and reading skills among students. They provide an environment conducive to learning.
Like other cities, Turbat also has a public library where many students are able to read books they would not have had access to otherwise, due to widespread poverty.
However, our libraries need to be upgraded according to international standards. Books should be catalogued online, to make it easier for users to locate books, without wasting much time.
New books should also be brought in regularly, as users often resort to social media to carry out book swaps.
The managements should also alter the library timings according to the need of the users, as sometimes students need to use libraries early in the morning. A survey across the country’s libraries can highlight the areas where improvements are needed.
