It is incomprehensible why the whole city of Karachi has been left to rot
KARACHI: Unhygienic conditions are prevailing in many areas of Malir district making life miserable for residents. Garbage has accumulated at many places giving out noxious stench posing health hazards to people. Conditions are so bad that many areas are stinking. Residents fear the outbreak of various dangerous diseases. Even the possibility of an outbreak of plague cannot be ruled out. The attitude of the authorities is simply incomprehensible. Garbage piles are there everywhere, gutters are overflowing, and roads are full of potholes and craters. It seems that the government is there only to collect taxes. Collect taxes and the duty of the government ends with the collection of taxes. Residents wonder when the government will wake up from its deep slumber and keep Karachi clean. A complacent notion of reality is dangerous for both the government and the people. It is incomprehensible why the whole city of Karachi has been left to rot.
