Electricity outages

Letter April 07, 2019
Life in densely populated urban areas is hell without electricity

KARACHI: People living in complete darkness for long hours has now become an everyday affair in Karachi’s Orangi Town. The power supply company seems to be indifferent towards the difficulties felt by the dwellers of our area and has been careless in taking any action to resolve the issue. At night, we students, in particular, suffer a lot. We cannot study without electricity, as not only do we lose out on light, but also power to run computers, etc.

We must work together to bring an end to long-duration of power cuts that paralyse the routine life in an entire area, especially after dusk. We hope that the electricity company will do the needful and provide us relief in the hot summer months. Life in densely populated urban areas is hell without electricity.
