All political parties should unite and play their role for betterment of Pakistan
HYDERABAD: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari led the Karwan-e-Bhutto train march from Karachi to Larkana, apparently against the PTI-led federal government, at a time when corruption in the Sindh, led by his own PPP government, is mounting.
As the train march reached its destination without any major takeaways, I ask the young PPP chairman to divert his attention to the Sindh government’s performance and not to blame the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the PTI government just to hide corruption by his own party men. He should also take stock of the PPP government’s performance in the province over the last 10 years.
About half of the population in Sindh is living below the poverty line. According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Sindh is the second poorest province of the country, followed by Balochistan.
The provincial government has failed to provide basic needs to its people, and as a result, children die almost daily in Thar due to malnutrition. Bad governance and corruption in Sindh is causing unemployment to grow at an alarming rate as thousands of well-educated young people are deprived of jobs and their talent is going to waste.
Our country can only progress if our institutions are stable. All political parties should unite and play their role for the betterment of Pakistan irrespective of their differences.
