The fault lies with us and us alone!
LAHORE: This is with reference to a report in your newspaper titled “Pakistan ranks 12th on failed states index” (June 21). As a nation, we have failed miserably. The fault lies with us and us alone! Had we instilled a sense of honesty, credibility and devotion in our citizens, things would have been different. We are responsible because we are all talk; we are not willing to do the right thing even when the opportunity arises to change things for the better. We do not vote, and if we do, we vote for selfish reasons. You reap what you sow; don’t expect miracles. We have failed because we believe in shortcuts in hopes of becoming rich overnight without putting in any hard work.
