Indian blame game

Letter February 21, 2019
Falsely accusing Pakistan of backing militants in the troubled Kashmir valley

KARACHI: Shifting all the blame on Pakistan for the Pulwama attack on Indian forces without any substantial evidence sends the wrong signal to the general public across the border. For once, India needs to look within and identify the elements that are creating unrest. However, India has falsely accused Pakistan of backing militants in the troubled Kashmir valley, which has always led to tensions between the two countries. Both countries have fought wars with each other in the past and are nuclear powers. India and its domestic politics are deeply divided, hence anti-Pakistan rhetoric is one element that has been frequently used by almost all the parties there to earn votes.
