Social issues and our society

Letter February 12, 2019
The common man bears the brunt of these difficult circumstances

SUKKUR: Man is a social animal. He cannot live alone. It is embedded in his nature to live in a community. The collective life demands certain facilities which are categorised as the basic human needs. In a welfare state, all these needs are responsibility of the state. It creates harmony and peace and order among the populace. Unfortunately, the situation in our country is quite the opposite. People are facing a lot of problems. They feel insecure and threatened all the time. Psychological problems are stemming from the same. There are many causes of this. A few time-servers are at the back of this problem. They are greasing the palms of the authorities and playing havoc with society. The profit mongers have brought the whole society to this point.

The common man bears the brunt of these difficult circumstances. He is unable to get enough food, education and a roof for his family. Yet the men at the helm of affairs are always evading these problems. Societies stand on justice. Justice means everything right at its proper place. But there is injustice all around us. Social fabric is torn into pieces. Satan is dancing over the corpses. If the situation remains the same for some more time, we may face anarchy all around us. So it is the need of the hour to rescue the nation from the heinous clutches of monsters and deadheads in order to put the nation on the path of progress and prosperity. This is something which only a sincere and committed leadership can deliver.
