LAHORE: The Oscar-winning Indian singer, A R Rehman, faced a severe backlash after his daughter appeared on stage wearing a veil.
Many said that the famed singer had forced her daughter to cover her face. Why is it hard for people to accept that a woman can adorn a hijab out of her own choice?
Rehman’s reply to this was befitting as he posted a picture of the females in his life, one adoring a veil, the other a hijab and the third with neither of the two and captioning it #Freedomtochoose.
