
It seems that the KESC strike is being used as an excuse by the company to hide its incompetence.
KARACHI: I am a resident of DHA phase VIII. I have had no electricity in my home since the past three days. I have called the KESC helpline at 118 and was told that it is because of “underground cable theft”. No company employee or worker is present in any customer facilitation centre and the only way to register a complaint is via the 118 number. We are being continuously told that this is all happening because of a strike by its workers but this has been going on for weeks. It seems that this is now being used as an excuse by the company to hide its incompetence and poor quality of service.
