Due to the poor management of the city
KARACHI: While rains bring respite for most people around the world, in Karachi rain can become a nuisance for its citizens. Due to the poor management of the city, the recent downpour in the city has caused traffic jams as potholes on roads are filled with water. It is lamentable in the past 71 years successive governments have failed to build a durable drainage system.
In some areas electricity went off soon after the rain started. This has regularly been witnessed in Karachi over the past many years.
During rains, the city almost comes to a standstill and no one seems to be perturbed about it. This is what we have achieved in more than 71 years.
