The nation expects extraordinary performance from the Green Shirts and wants them to win the World Cup
HYDERABAD: The start of the year 2019 for the Green Shirts has not been good. In the recent South African tour, the Pakistan cricket team suffered a whitewash in the Test series, followed by a 3-2 loss in the one-day international series. The World Cup is in the offing — scheduled to be held in England this year — but the players and the team management do not look serious about improving their performance. Our cricket team needs to learn from the Indian cricketers who won both Test and ODI series against Australia in Australia.
The last time Pakistan had won the ICC Cricket World Cup was in 1992 under the captaincy of Imran Khan, currently the Prime Minister of the country. The nation expects extraordinary performance from the Green Shirts and wants them to win the World Cup.
The team management should work hard on the players as the cricket world’s most coveted event is only months away where our cricketers will have to face world-class teams.
