Wedding halls should be allowed to hold events for which they have already received payment
KARACHI: Numerous wedding hall owners in Karachi have announced a strike after a court has declared their wedding venues illegal. The sufferers in this whole issue are those who have booked these halls months ago for their events.
Many halls will be demolished in months when they have already received payments for events scheduled during the next few months. These halls should be allowed to hold the events for which they have already received payments, besides being bound not to book any future events.
Most of the families have been left in a situation where they now have to book another venue for weddings. The authorities must take a decision keeping in view the stake of all the parties involved and most importantly those who have paid for their wedding ceremonies.
