Political matters have remained mired in political interests of various parties and groups
LAHORE: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has once again indicated his government’s resolve to create the South Punjab province. The foreign minister’s special interest towards the formation of a South Punjab province is understandable for the fact that he himself is from Multan.
However, given the complex political dynamics of the country, the time frame set for the formation of such a province is rather an overwhelming assertion.
Pakistan has long struggled and still struggles over the issue of a G-B province. Hence the issue of a South Punjab province is no different, given how these political matters have remained mired in political interests of the various political parties and groups.
