I feel that far too many people in our media and in our armed forces support religious extremists.
KARACHI: This is with reference to your report of June 11 titled “US intelligence to Pakistan compromised: report”. I feel that far too many people in our media and in our armed forces support religious extremists. We have anchors spreading the propaganda of the religious fanatics and trying to paint them as some sort of brave heroes when the truth is that these religious savages want to impose their diseased medieval ideology on the rest of us. They want us to start treating our women like animals and do many other things that we would never do otherwise. These sections of our media and those in the establishment who harbour sympathy for extremists and the terrorists need to sever all such links, otherwise we may have no Pakistan left.
