Cricket unites the nation
KARACHI: Cricket unites the nation. It is the most watched sport on television in Pakistan. Stadiums are packed with fans to watch cricket matches. Recently, PSL has launched its schedule for 2018 matches. In Pakistan, unfortunately we don’t have enough cricket grounds and stadiums that could match the standard of those in the UAE or other destinations commonly chosen for series on neutral venues. Due to this, often the series are played outside the country. Further, our young generation does not get to practise enough with the facilities that could prepare them for a career in the Pakistani cricket team. The government should build stadiums of international level for youth, as the country has immense talent that if utilised can improve the standing of the Pakistan’s cricket team.
