I request the government to take immediate measures to control child labour
KARACHI: I would want to draw the attention of the authorities concerned towards the issues of child abuse and child labour, as the two are intertwined and co-exist in our society. Child labour is a big problem in some areas of Karachi. Children are forced to work under dangerous and hazardous conditions and are not even fed two basic meals in a day. This issue adversely affects the progress and development of the nation.
I request the government to take immediate measures to control child labour. Implementation of laws against child labour and promoting free education can be effective as they will deliver results needed to change the situation.
