KARACHI: Birds from Siberia migrate to warm regions of Pakistan to avoid the harsh winter in their home countries but here heartless bird hunters kill them with gay abandon. If people go on killing birds at the present rate our country would soon become a rookery without rooks. Some people name their homes as rookery but where there are no rooks though once there resided rooks in large numbers. Rooks are big birds of the crow family. Rookery reminds one of Dickens’s novel David Copperfield.
