It is debatable who takes more wives, Muslims or men in the West
PESHAWAR: Why men and women go in for change of life partners. In Muslim societies men are allowed to have four wives and they are criticised. But it is debatable who takes more wives, Muslims or men in the West. Impartial observers say men in the West have more marriages than Muslims. Men in the West take one wife after the other, that is, they are serial wife takers. Western women are consoled by referring to Shakespeare, “Sigh no more ladies! Sigh no more ladies! Men always have been deceivers, one foot on the shore and one in the sea.”
