LAHORE: Politicians here in Pakistan have their way with giving statements first and then explaining them. From the famous “degree degree hoti hai, asli ho ya naqli,” to justifying U-turns, there is a long list that follows. Where to an extent, taking a U-turn is an expression of one’s acumen and a timely action. However, it also tells how the initial move taken or advancement did not give the needed results. If one had initially taken a thoughtful move, a U-turn would never have been needed.
Nonetheless, even after numerous U-turns one lands at the desired result, it is still an achievement and success. With that, one can only hope that the Prime Minister too will be able to deliver all that he intends to.
