Someone else’s songs

Letter June 08, 2011
It is a pleasure to read Mr Paracha in your newspaper.

KARACHI: This is with reference to Nadeem F Paracha’s article of June 7 titled “Someone else’s songs”. I would say that what many pop/rock music bands have achieved across the world for Pakistan is admirable and something that we should be proud of. As far as accusations on Musharraf’s regime are concerned, the general never used religion as a card for his own survival. In fact, he tried to bring enlightened moderation to Pakistan’s society, although maybe he went too far.

It is a pleasure to read Mr Paracha in your newspaper.
