The world No1 T20I batsmen Babar Azam is now the best ever player in T20I to score 1,000 runs in just 26 innings
HYDERABAD: After whitewashing Australia in a T20I in the UAE last month, the world No 1 T20I Pakistan has also whitewashed New Zealand with a 3-0 in just a week on the same venues. The green shirts outclassed New Zealand’s team. Before the series, it was somehow expected that New Zealand would give some tough time to Pakistan but the boys from national cricket team played phenomenally in all the three T20I and turned things to their side. The Pakistani players especially Mohammad Hafeez and Babar Azam showed their brilliant batting skills while the 18 year old Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim helped green shirts to complete clean sweep against dangerous Kiwis.
The world No1 T20I batsmen Babar Azam is now the best ever player in T20I to score 1,000 runs in just 26 innings of his career. He broke the record of Indian star cricketer Virat Kohli. Pakistan cricket team has also become the most successful T20I cricket team in the world. From overall 139 T20I matches, green shirts have won 89 and lost 47 while 3 matches remained without results. The Shaheens recorded 11th consecutive T20I series win under the Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed which is another world record. It is now a good opportunity for Pakistan cricket team to keep this winning momentum particularly in all three formats of the game.
