Animal rights

In Pakistan animals are made to suffer

TURBAT, KECH: In Pakistan animals are made to suffer. They are tortured and killed. If one cannot afford to feed, shelter and keep animals, or re-home them, one must take them to one of the many animal welfare organisations where there is at least a chance for the animal to survive under good conditions.

Not only our conscience but even our religion tells us to respect animals’ rights.

Every animal has been created for a purpose. It is a duty upon every human being to respect Allah’s creation. If we ill-treat any of His creation, we will be questioned about it on the Day of Judgment.

The Prophet (pbuh) said “Whoever kills a sparrow or anything bigger than that without a just cause, Allah will hold him accountable on the Day of Judgment.” The Prophet (pbuh) explained that a killing would be for a just cause if it was for food.
