RAWALPINDI: Pakistan does not have many heritage sites that showcase its diverse culture. There are only a handful of heritage and national museums in the country. One such museum is the Lok Virsa Heritage Museum in Islamabad.
The museum displays the many cultures the country has. However, it is located in an isolated area of the city, where no public transport is available. Most museums around the world are located in areas that are easily accessible to everyone and not just to those who own their own means of transport, whether a Pajero or an omnibus.
The museum is too far to even walk to it from the nearest metro bus station. Buses should be run from the metro bus station to the two museums — Lok Virsa and the nearby Pakistan Natural History Museum.
