Husband of a student of Punjab University was mercilessly beaten by members of a students’ organisation
FAISALABAD: Recently, the husband of a student of Punjab University was mercilessly beaten by members of a students’ organisation associated with a political party. Not much is known about the incident except that members of the organisation indulged in moral policing of the woman’s husband.
In the video the woman can be clearly seen yelling about the victim being her husband. As of now, no investigation has been ordered into the matter. The university should order an investigation into the matter and punish the guilty. Also, who authorised that certain group of students to act as moral police. Universities are supposed to be a secure place for the students and their visitors.
