Journalist associations across the world seem helpless in all such cases
KARACHI: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has drawn the ire of the international community over the disappearance of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. It is no secret that governments across the world have for long used the media and journalists to pursue their own agenda. Yet the same governments silence them when their wrongs are pointed out or when journalists fail to serve the interests of those in power.
Journalist associations across the world seem helpless in all such cases, hence putting into question the notion of the freedom of the press and media.
