Militarism, religion and patriotism have all been combined into a potent ideology.
TORONTO: This is with reference to Raza Rumi’s article of June 4 titled “Is America really our Enemy No 1”. A friend of mine often comments: “If the Brits had not come to India, I would be herding goats, barefoot”. Education has been sacrificed and what we have gained is a state run on fascist lines. Militarism, religion and patriotism have all been combined into a potent ideology which is used to straitjacket the minds of ordinary Pakistanis. Of course, this happens because it works fine for the ruling mafia.
