Pakistan was never a citadel of religious fascism; that trend began to take root with Zia wrecking the nation by his so-called ‘Islamisation’ campaign. However, in the long run, the land of Iqbal and Faiz will repel ‘mullahism’ since such concepts are not in its DNA. However, it is possible that before this is done, there may be some serious damage caused to Pakistan.
