The IMF may provide respite in the short term but in the long run we are again going to be ensnared in a debt trap
LAHORE: The government has finally decided to approach the International Monetary Fund for a bailout programme to rectify the imbalance in the economy. The IMF may provide respite in the short term but in the long run we are again going to be ensnared in a debt trap. Does this not prove inconclusively that our politicians and officialdom are corrupt and selfish to the core? It is all the consequence of corruption and mismanagement. When will we realise the importance of the rule of law and good governance?
