PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif was arrested in the Ashiyana Housing Scheme Case
LAHORE: A lot has been said and heard over the past week following the arrest of PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif in the Ashiyana Housing Scheme Case. Where many have hailed the move as the start of accountability of the powerful in the country, many see it as an attempt to hinder the party’s preparation for the upcoming by-polls.
The arrest can still work in the PML-N’s favour and earn political sympathy from regions where the party still seems to have a strong following. Yet the aforesaid is only a presumption that will unfold as correct or wrong only on the 14th of this month.
