KU shuttle service

Letter October 08, 2018
The university administration needs to pay heed to this issue on a priority basis

KARACHI: Karachi University is one of the biggest universities in the country. Owing to its huge campus, it becomes difficult for the students to walk from one department to another. Hence, there is the need for an efficient shuttle service.

Now the shuttle service works at oddly peculiar hours. It should be more frequent. The distance between one department and the other is too much for students to cover, and on top of that the hot Karachi weather makes it even more difficult.

In the absence of shuttles, teachers and students end up hitch-hiking. This is dangerous, especially for women and girls. Although auto-rickshaws are available within the campus, not everyone can afford them.

The university administration needs to pay heed to this issue on a priority basis.
