Street lights and crime

Letter October 03, 2018
Roads in the area are bumpy and need to be fixed

RAWALPINDI: I, a resident of Satellite Town, Rawalpindi, want to bring this to the attention of the authorities concerned that for the past few months street lights in my locality have been out of order and this has subsequently led to numerous issues for the residents, one of them being a progressive rise in street crimes.

Roads in the area are bumpy and need to be fixed. The absence of street lights has come as a boon to criminal elements. In the evening, ladies of our area avoid going out because there are frequent incidents of mugging during late night hours. I request the area administration to get these issues resolved and provide safety and security to the area residents.
