Asia Cup debacle

Letter September 29, 2018
The disappointing performance of Pakistan’s cricket team in the Asia Cup is a reminder to board authorities

LAHORE: The disappointing performance of Pakistan’s cricket team in the Asia Cup is a reminder the board authorities must pay heed to. The team lost three important matches to India and Bangladesh while winning only one against Afghanistan. With a new series lined up for the year, the board must introduce necessary changes to set the team’s course straight. More so because the team’s failure and poor performance cannot be separated from Najam Sethi’s ouster and Ehsan Mani’s appointment as the Chairman of the Board by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
