It’s time for us to take proper measures to put a stop to reckless driving
KARACHI: It’s time for us to take proper measures to put a stop to reckless driving, especially by motorcyclists and truck drivers on the roads and streets of our densely- populated city of Karachi.
A few days ago, on the bridge adjacent to a mall in Gulshan-e-Iqbal a woman was run over by a speeding truck and died on the spot. Many accidents like these occur frequently.
There are speed limits displayed beside roads and streets but unfortunately people do not pay attention to these regulations and intentionally rather heroically ignore traffic signs.
This is a blatant violation of the law and the traffic police should stop such violations. Motorists should be heavily penalised for breaking rules and putting the lives of others at risk.
