SHIKARPUR: Imran Khan has awakened the hopes of the poor in Pakistan. His speeches, time and again, have claimed that Khan’s government would eradicate the ills and enforce transparency, accountability, a robust foreign policy and cordial relations with neighbouring countries, including India and Afghanistan.
But it is quite difficult for IK to fulfil his promises under the current institutional structure in the country and that too within a short span of time.
As admitted by him, it is really a hard nut to crack within the next five years.
He will initially need to build dynamic, robust, de-politicised and accountable state institutions. We will have to be an educated populace where the rule of law shall prevail. Only this will put us on the path of development and progress.
