Teachers often release their frustration by beating and scolding students in their classes

KARACHI: It is often said that people who have experienced torture by their teachers as children, go on to become teachers who do the same to their students.

In our society, teachers often release their frustration by beating and scolding students in their classes. This show of power is a common practice in our classrooms, irrespective of a private or government institute.

Nobody can deny the fact that the true essence of teaching and grooming students’ and their thoughts, and training them for the future has now vanished. Students are being treated like donkeys and this trend will only go on unless and until the authorities concerned take up the issue on a priority basis.

School administrations should conduct a strict scrutiny of teachers before hiring them. Moreover, personal training and grooming sessions of teachers should be arranged before they are allowed to conduct classes.

This profession has its own worth because of a lot of reasons and its worth should be maintained in order to secure students’ future.
