How can we expect to invent or create when anything new or creative is met by screams of blasphemy or heresy?
KARACHI: This is with reference to Saleem H Ali’s article “Muslims and science” (June 1). What progress can there be in science when the overwhelming majority in our country rejects evolution and continues to believe in creationism. Our conservative lot violently reject anything that goes contradictory to their rigid, narrow-minded interpretation of religion.
How can we expect to invent or create when anything new or creative is met by screams of blasphemy or heresy?
