The new government has indeed made unconventional choices
LAHORE: While tough challenges await the new government all around, foreign policy is one such important and tricky area the government needs to be particularly prepared for. After picking its sides in the US-Iran conflict and with the decision to tilt more towards China and not the US, the new government has indeed made unconventional choices. However, it must tread the way ahead carefully, as unconventionality alone won’t win the praise and the applause neither will circumstances always favour.
It would be rather wise if the new government does not act in haste and tries to stay on cordial terms with the major stakeholders involved. It’s because slightest of the pull from either of the sides can put strain and add to the fragility of economy and the political situation.
