Global warming is at a rise

ISLAMABAD: Environmentally-friendly products are being introduced each day in the market, yet we fail to protect the environment. Global warming is at a rise. People are dying of heat strokes, glaciers are melting, bringing floods and natural calamities to many regions across the world. The duration of summer season is increasing year after year. This time the temperature in the hilly areas, where people use to go for vacations to avoid the heat have recorded relatively highest of the temperatures. It is the collective duty of all individuals to protect environment, resources and wildlife. A survey report says that by 2025 Pakistan will run out of fresh drinking water, but Pakistanis are not taking the threat seriously. Pollution is increasing, methods of garbage dumping are inefficient. Cosmic rays are causing incurable diseases. Countries all over the world are running short of the valuable natural resources. It is about time now that we woke up and saved the world, so far the only inhabitable planet. Research , policy recommendations and findings alone won’t do till the time implementation is undertaken.
