The new government must lodge strong protests and take decisive steps
HYDERABAD: For decades, Muslims and particularly Pakistanis have been subjected to derogatory and humiliating treatment at airports of the US for one reason or the other. The racial profiling of Muslim travellers has gone to the extent where many are kept on watch lists by security and intelligence agencies of the country. It is only when an incident makes it to the news that the issue resurfaces.
The new government must lodge strong protests and take decisive steps to ensure that no Pakistani national is subjected to such treatment particularly in the absence of evidence that puts them as a security risk not just in the US but in any other country.
