Painful to know that the concerned authorities as of yet have not caught such culprits

SHIKARPUR: Do we really live as a peaceful and literate nation? More importantly, do we even realise about the importance of education?

Unfortunately, the answer to these questions is not in the affirmative. A recent report published in newspaper reflects on the bleak picture for the country as the terrorists have burned down 12 schools in Diamer district of Gilgit-Baltistan. Unknown, but surely uneducated people have also thrown books outside of school and set them on fire. It is as if they have not only burned 12 schools but the future of thousands of students of the region.

How painful to know that the concerned authorities as of yet have not caught such culprits. Hopefully, Imran Khan and his new government who have kept education on top priority under his 100-day policy will do the needful.
