KARACHI: Five more lives of Kashmiri youth were taken by Indian troops in Shopian, Indian-Occupied Kashmir on August 4. The youth was martyred during a violent cordon-and-search operation in Kilora area of the district, according to media services in Kashmir.
This operation also gave way to forceful anti-India demonstrations that led to at least 20 protestors sustaining injuries as the Indian troops and police used brute force to disperse the protestors. Such atrocities in Kashmir have unfortunately become a usual occurrence. Indian troops have used brutal force to silence Kashmir’s voice of dissent time and again.
Since the beginning of the year, many Kashmiris have lost their lives and many have been injured. But the increasing numbers have still not stopped the Indian troops and police from using force against civilian lives.
Kashmir continues to bleed till date while concerned authorities look the other way.
